Phoenix 98623 Revolution Cycle Pro II Exercise Bike
Product Description

This revolutionary product is designed for an energetic and challenging workout, and is also adapted to people with different intensity needs. This seat system was specifically designed for easy movement horizontally and vertically while mounted on the bike during the workout. Adjustable forward positioned handlebars and racing style pedals give the Revolution Cycle Pro II a road bike feel.
Amazon.com Product Description
The modern-looking Revolution Cycle Pro II is designed for an energetic and challenging workout, with such features as a direct-drive resistance system, an emergency stop brake system, and an adjustable seat and handlebars. Unlike with road bikes, the 39.6-pound balanced flywheel on the Revolution Cycle Pro II doesn't continue to spin if the rider stops pedaling. Instead, the rider slows the flywheel and controls the tension with a tension knob, helping the bike adapt to people with different intensity needs. The direct-drive system, meanwhile, lets the rider pedal either forward or backward during the workout, with a quick-stop handle serving as an instant brake for changing directions or in case of emergency. Most importantly, the Revolution Cycle Pro I is biomechanically efficient, with a two-way adjustable seat post that moves vertically and horizontally while you're mounted on the bike, along with an adjustable handlebar. As a result, you can drop the saddle down and out of the way to work the inner thigh, or perform other legwork off the back of the bike.
Other details include a heavy-duty brake pad resistance system with center-pull brake pads, front wheels for easy transport, sturdy toe clips made of the same alloy materials used in off-road racing, a heat-treated axle, a water bottle, and a weight capacity of 250 pounds. The Revolution Cycle Pro II measures 24 by 42.5 by 42.3 inches (W x H x D) and weighs 113 pounds.
About Exercise Bikes
Despite the competition from trendy new fitness inventions, exercise bikes continue to be popular options for home exercise. They offer the same aerobic benefits of riding a bicycle at any time, in any weather, without leaving the comfort and safety of home. Exercise bikes don't take up much space, require little or no balance or coordination, and can provide an effective workout for all levels of users, from beginners to serious competitors. While the same could be said for a number of other types of home fitness equipment, the exercise bike is one of the few that allows you to watch television or read a magazine while you work out. For many people, having convenient access to quality exercise equipment is critical to sticking with a long-term exercise program.
- Modern exercise bike with direct-drive resistance system and 39.6-pound balanced flywheel

35 of 35 people found the following review helpful good as spinner NTX and schwinn, By The ntx resistance pad is a single direct pressure on the outside of the flywheel---which is esentially the same as a drum brake. A single pad with less surface area leads to increased wear and needing to replace the pad sooner. whereas the pheonix and the schwinn use 2 pads compressing the flywheel---like a disc brake.---increased resistance surface and better resistance, decreased wear on pads. It is as sturdy and well build as the NTX.-even has the same handlebars--minus the bottle holders. It is heavy---130 lbs but has wheels for moving. Only thing to consider is that... We did not have the problem with the broken knob that the two other reviewers mentioned. The wheel does make some noise when riding it, but it's not any louder than the higher-end spin bikes you'd find at the gym. I was actually surprised at how quiet and smooth it is. It does wobble a bit when you stand and do hill climbs, but I think that is because we currently have it on carpet. We're looking into putting this on a different surface to see if that makes it more stable, and I will try to remember to update my review once we do this. The adjustments on this are also great, both in terms of the tension knob and the physical bike itself. I was worried that you'd have to... This review is from: Phoenix 98623 Revolution Cycle Pro II Exercise Bike (Sports) Ok..so I bought this item for home because of the fabulous price ($478.99 w/free s/h). It was a toss up between this and another brand. Although it was heavy, I was able to get it into my house (3 steps) on my own without straining anything...I put it together by myself within 40 minutes or so and this sucker is STOUT. One little nobby broke off during shipping but will be replaced; I'm not concerned--it didn't effect the bike at at all. So I just completed my first workout on it and I must say, it's stable, sturdy, just like the one at my gym and I LOVE IT. I'm pleasantly surprised and would recommend it to anyone that is looking for a spin bike for your home...It's got all the necessary adjustments needed for the novice/intermediate spinner! |

22 of 23 people found the following review helpful Love my SUNNY, This review is from: Sunny SF-B1001 Indoor Cycling Bike (Sports) with the help of my 2 and 5 year old boys, we put the bike together in 40 minutes. Tried it out right away, great ride!!! Compares well to the spin bikes I've used at the gym. This review is from: Sunny SF-B1001 Indoor Cycling Bike (Sports) I hear this is a "beginner bike". Well, it rocks. Easy assembly, easy use. AWESOME! heard it was a beginner bike in previous reviews........but I love it and just don't care for those reviews. I have no idea what they are speaking too, this feels like a serious spin bike to me. Excellent adjustments, and easy care........... It has easy leveling for any @ home surfaces that aren't level.........ease of assembly........and a great ride! This is one well priced piece of machinery and I love it. He He he..........especially for the price!!!!! Heavy.........send it to your home.........easy assembly. 14 of 15 people found the following review helpful Xtremely Pleased!, By Me (Somewhwere) - See all my reviews Amazon Verified Purchase( What's this?) This review is from: Sunny SF-B1001 Indoor Cycling Bike (Sports) This is one solid bike, not to mention how attractive it is! I did have problems with some of the assembly but with a little research was able to get all the pieces in place. The seat was aweful for ME; might work for others--replaced with a seat more suited to my bottom, hence 4 stars. I'm almost 64 years young, a bit overweight and have some health issues, and I really needed something that would allow me to get a good workout without having to drive to a track or go to a gym (both a waste of time and energy for me). I have to admit that I pursued this spinner bike thing with much skepticism--especially one designed for "home exercising". I researched for almost a month and read reviews and finally settled on this one. OMG, I was so pleased to see 4-5 stars on this bike all over the internet and the positive comments. Now I know why. This bike is awesome: Solid, sturdy, multi-adjustable, reasonably quiet, nicely priced AND attractive!! I've put myself on a 15 minutes... Read more |

This review is from: Schwinn A20 Recumbent Exercise Bike (Sports) INITIAL IMPRESSIONSThe A20 is the replacement for the Active Series 20 and Amazon has now corrected their product description to show the correct information for the A20. I haven't seen the Active Series 20 so I can't really draw a comparison and trying to get comparison info (I was trying to decide which one to buy) from the sales staff at Schwinn was impossible since the person I talked to hadn't even seen an actual working model of the A20 (let alone sat on one) and his information was limited to that which was presented on the website. I decided on the A20 since it did appear that they tried to make some improvements plus there's the issue of being able to get parts if needed in the future. I received the A20 yesterday and both my wife and I have used it once. I will update in the future. SET UP: There are very few parts to deal with plus all necessary tools were included and this was a pleasant surprise. I laid them out and checked then against the... After my husband helped me pull the bike out of the box, I wanted to see if I could put this together by myself; and, if so, how long it would take. So, I set a timer, chased my husband out of the room and began. In 15 minutes I had removed the packaging and checked for missing parts. All the parts were there. It took me just under an hour to put the bike together, and I did it all by myself! It was really easy! The parts were packaged in an organized manner and clearly identified so I had no trouble with parts. All the tools needed to put it together were included, so I only had to find a pair of scissors to remove packaging and four D batteries to operate the console. And the picture instructions were accurate and easy to follow. That was amazing in itself! Now, I had it together, and it was time to try it out. After playing with the controls a bit, I figured out how to select a program and gave it a whirl. Here's what I like and don't like about... This review is from: Schwinn A20 Recumbent Exercise Bike (Sports) I ride it every night. It is very sturdy and dependable and it also does not take up too much space. Sitting in this position riding for 30 minutes is a pleasure. It is quiet so I can ride it at night with out aggravating my wife. The levels work perfectly. All the important stuff works great but you can forget the fan and the heart rate indicator. The fan can only be felt 1 inch from the surface. The heart rate indicator was way off in my opinion. For example, I am riding it now as I type with over 20 minutes on the timer at a decent pace. According to the monitor presently my heart rate is 78, just not possible. Also, the laptop/book holder is okay for my small laptop. Typing is difficult right now but I am usually playing chess while I ride so that is not bad. Continuous typing would be painful this way. Additionally, I am 5'4" and could never use this for reading. it is too far away and at the wrong angle. I do highly recommend and feel like it... Read more |
