56 of 58 people found the following review helpful Good for the money, By Liliya Gutnik (MERRICK, NY, US) - See all my reviews Amazon Verified Purchase( What's this?) This review is from: 2 in 1 Fitness Elliptical Cross Trainer & Exercise Bike (Misc.) Its a good machine for the money. Nice and compact. Not too big except for the fact that the handles, from the bottom of the machine to the top, are about 4.5 feet tall. Also, you have to assemble it yourself. The wheel and the pedal turner, or whatever its called, is set up but you have to screw on the pedal pads, the stands that holds the machine up, and the handles yourself.Next, do not handle the machine ruffly or it will break. I was sitting on the bike part, after a 30 minute workout on the elliptical, and bent over to the floor to get my cup of water. By putting more weight on the right pedal than I should have, it broke. It was easily fixed with some crazy glue but now there's an annoying ticking sound. If you do a cardio work out anywhere from 1 to 4 times per week this is the machine for you. If you like to work out 5 to 7 times per week you would need something more sturdy. Hope this helps. Will be posting pics soon. 21 of 23 people found the following review helpful Great, By Amazon Verified Purchase( What's this?) This review is from: 2 in 1 Fitness Elliptical Cross Trainer & Exercise Bike (Misc.) I recently purchased this elliptical/exercise bike, and so far I have no complaints. I read some reviews on it and I saw people said the bolts might come loose, its noisy, and the one that scared me the most was the bad instructions. But I found the instructions were fine. Most bolts are obvious where they go and only fit where they are intended. I haven't had any problems with having to tighten any bolts all came with locking nuts. But I did try to head that problem off, I purchased a small thing of Blue Locktight(medium strength)which I applied to any bolt I thought would work loose. And on the noise factor I actually thought it worked fairly quite. All in all I think this is a great product, I have no regrets about buying it and wish I would have found it a lot sooner. 16 of 17 people found the following review helpful Disappointed & angry, Amazon Verified Purchase( What's this?) This review is from: 2 in 1 Fitness Elliptical Cross Trainer & Exercise Bike (Misc.) What a waste of time and money. It looked great at first, compact and versatile, portable enough that I could wheel it around to different rooms depending on where I wanted to use it. The good ends here: the left pedal broke off almost immediately. After the first time I used it, it started clanking and knocking and squeaking so loud that watching tv while on it became impossible. And, after less than a dozen uses, the wheel locked. It won't go foward or backward, it will not work. I have tried, in vain, to contact the manufacturer to no avail. I'm not going to waste more money on return shipping, this piece of junk is going where it belongs: the dumpster. Save your money and time, it is worth it to save a little while longer and get a decent quality machine from a decent quality company! |

About Exercise Bikes
Despite the competition from trendy new fitness inventions, exercise bikes continue to be popular options for home exercise. They offer the same aerobic benefits of riding a bicycle at any time, in any weather, without leaving the comfort and safety of home. Exercise bikes don't take up much space, require little or no balance or coordination, and can provide an effective workout for all levels of users, from beginners to serious competitors. While the same could be said for a number of other types of home fitness equipment, the exercise bike is one of the few that allows you to watch television or read a magazine while you work out. For many people, having convenient access to quality exercise equipment is critical to sticking with a long-term exercise program.

32 of 34 people found the following review helpful Excellent Cardio workout at home, By Amazon Verified Purchase( What's this?) This review is from: Nautilus U514 Upright Exercise Bike (Sports) This is the latest addition to the home gym, living next to the Elliptical and Treadmill. I mostly got the upright bike to cross train, since my primary indoor exercise (until it gets back warm) is the treadmill. It's hard to improve if you are working the same muscles everytime, so that's where the bike comes in.My first one came damaged, I usually ship stuff like this FedEx because UPS is too rough, but didn't. Anyways it's Amazon so they sent a replacement right away, I have never had a bad customer experience with Amazon. The replacement came FedEx and was in perfect shape. Setup took a couple of hours, didn't really track exactly bus basically a Saturday morning. The directions are not great, but there is only one tricky piece which is the handlebar column and the electronics. There are a couple other reviews about only working for people 5 foot 10, I am 5 foot 11, but there should be no problem for people much taller. I don't think they... This review is from: Nautilus U514 Upright Exercise Bike (Sports) I read the reviews before I bought the product, and some people said the bike was too small for users over 5'9" tall or thereabouts, but others implie those people weren't using all three adjustments to configure the bike properly and that it would be fineWell, I can confirm as a 6'0" male that the bike is too small for me. With the handlbars all the way forward, the seat all the way back, and the seat post raised to the highest position, my knees bump against the handlebars when I try to pedal. I gave it three stars because it seems solidly built, but either the design is flawed, or the description should note that taller users (or people with long legs) won't be able to make use of it. Now after assembling the thing, I'm going to have to disassemble it and return it. The recumbant model shouldn't have the same problem, but it costs $100 more. 29 of 32 people found the following review helpful Great Value! Easy to Get Up and Running, By Amazon Verified Purchase( What's this?) This review is from: Nautilus U514 Upright Exercise Bike (Sports) After reviewing a number of upright exercise bikes (Schwinn Active 10, 120, 140 Upright Series Upright Exercise Bikes)both on Amazon and at my local sporting good stores (Dick's, and Sears), I chose this bike for the following reasons:- # of pre-loaded workout programs (11+ the ability to create custom ones), - the look and feel, - the display offered the ability to track time, interval time, RPM, watts, distance, pulse, speed, calories, resistance, - the brand, and - the Polar heart rate program. The unit arrived quickly to my home and I was able to assemble it easily within 2 hours. The instructions were easy to read and had a reasonable level of detail. In all, not a bad experience with setting up the unit. My wife, daughter and I have spent the past three days exercising on the unit and have found it satisfactory for someone no taller than 5'9". My wife's reaction was that the unit was smaller than she had anticipated, but found... Read more |

MagneTrainer-ER Mini Exercise Bike Arm and Leg Exerciser Reviews
124 of 124 people found the following review helpful worth the extra money, i was originally going to get one of those $20 models, but reading the reviews cured me of that. after that it was between getting a cheaper version or this one. i am so very glad i spent the extra money.you can barely hear the unit as you pedal along. all you need is enough clearance for your knees and you will start pedaling throughout the day. i even like it better than my gazelle walker and that is saying alot. i was worried about the amount of tension that i could get from the magnetrainer but it appears to give me exactly the amount of tension i want. i am sure for people who are cyclists full time find it to have less tension than they want, but for a couch potato like me, i get quite a workout. i expect that this unit will help me get back into some shape other than "round". for those that pedal hard enough to make it slide away even on carpet, the manufaturer offers to send you a free set of straps that you can attach to the legs of your... Read more 107 of 108 people found the following review helpful Are you CERTAIN you want a MINI-bike??!!, By This review is from: MagneTrainer-ER Mini Exercise Bike Arm and Leg Exerciser (Misc.) Most of the negative reviews/critiques that I've read are really complaints about MINI-bikes in general...NOT the Magnetrainer. So before you read any more brand reviews (including mine), do yourself a favor and think about your expectations for a moment.1. Are you looking for something that provides a low-key, no-fuss, no-muss way of adding extra activity to your day (maybe at work or something casual while you knit)? Are you looking for something to conveniently rehab with? Are you cramped for space, and able/willing to accept that MINI-bikes have more limitations (due to simple physics) than standard-sized bikes? *** If you answered YES to these, then skip #2 and #3, because you've got realistic expectations about MINI-bikes, and you'll want to know why the Magnetrainer is a brilliant way to go. *** 2. Are you looking for the same level of difficulty as a marathon spin class at your local gym? *** If YES, then a MINI-bike isn't for...
